Into Reading provides instructional resources for students that allow them to gain the foundational building blocks they need to apply word study lessons to be accurate and automatic readers. Targeted teaching materials ensure that children master the necessary decoding and encoding skills to become fluent readers and writers. Students are taught to recognize genre characteristics, cite text evidence, and draw from a growing bank of skills and strategies to make meaning from complex grade-level texts.
Through whole group, small group and independent instructional models, students are provided with daily opportunities to support the full range of writing modes and forms through the steps of the writing process, while also developing students’ ability to have productive, collaborative conversations.

Erin's Law
What Is Erin’s Law?
In 2015, the Oregon legislature passed SB 856, also known as Erin’s Law. Erin’s Law requires the development and adoption of child sexual abuse prevention programs for students in kindergarten through 12th grade in all Oregon public schools.
SB 856 mandates that all Oregon Public Schools provide:
- A minimum of 4 instructional sessions (equal to or greater than a standard class period) of sex abuse prevention instruction per year for grades kindergarten through 12
- Sexual abuse instruction that is integrated and part of required district comprehensive sexuality education plan and is aligned with state standards
- Instruction that is age appropriate, medically accurate, and is not shame or fear based
- Instruction that is culturally inclusive and is responsive to diverse students including race, ethnicity, gender identity and sexual orientation
- A parental involvement component to inform parents about child sexual abuse topics
- A professional training component for administrators, teachers and other school personnel

i-Ready Classroom Mathematics is a robust mathematics program that creates a rich classroom environment in which students at all levels become active, real-world problem solvers. This math program’s instructional framework supports students to engage in discourse to construct a deep conceptual understanding of math concepts. i-Ready Classroom Mathematics:
- Encourages students to develop a deeper understanding of mathematics concepts through the embedded Standards for Mathematical Practice.

Mystery Science
MYSTERY SCIENCE is a curriculum aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and supports Common Core. It features rigorous lessons in science and engineering that inspire students to love science. Each Mystery begins with a question that is explored through hands-on scientific investigations, discussion questions, engaging videos and experiences that connect to real-world phenomena.

Into Social Studies
Education in the social sciences aims to help students develop as rational, humane and productive citizens in a democratic society. Four elements of social studies education are necessary to help develop such citizens-knowledge, skills, values and participation. Democratic values, such as freedom, equality and due process, are the core of our national experience. Students should be involved in the thoughtful examination of ideas, viewpoints.
